Frequently asked questions

Everything we get asked, answered honestly. If your question is not here, ask us — we would rather tell you than have you guess.

Getting Started

Send us an inquiry and tell us a little about your pets and the dates you have in mind. We read every one personally — no auto-scheduler, no queue.

We will get back to you within 24–48 hours to talk it through and check availability, and then we will set up your complimentary Meet & Greet. Nothing is booked until we have met.

Yes, and it is always free.

We are asking you to trust us with your home and with someone you love. That is not a decision anyone should make from a website. The Meet & Greet is where we learn your pet's routine, where you decide whether we are the right fit, and where your pet gets to size us up on their own terms.

It usually takes half an hour, and there is no obligation at the end of it.

As early as you comfortably can, especially for overnight stays. Holidays, school breaks and summer fill up first, and overnights go before daytime services do.

That said — ask anyway. We would rather tell you we are full than have you assume we are.

Whenever the schedule allows, yes.

Flights get moved, plans fall apart, and family emergencies do not give notice. If we can help, we will. Reach out and ask — the worst answer you will get is an honest no.

We serve the greater Columbus area and a good deal of what surrounds it. The current list of towns is in the footer of every page.

If you do not see yours, ask anyway — the list is not a fence, and we are always happy to check.

Choosing the Right Service

Dogs from the same household, yes — happily.

Dogs from different households, never. Your pets are never combined with another client's on a walk. It keeps everyone safer, it keeps the walk calm, and it means your dogs get our whole attention instead of a share of it.

Yes, and most people do.

Overnight care with an extra daytime visit. A walk on the long days. A drop-in on the afternoon you are cutting it close. We build the plan around what your pets actually need, not around a package.

About Your Pet's Care

Generally, no. Our pricing is based on the level of care your household needs, not a headcount. Once we are in your home, we are there for everyone in it.

There are two honest exceptions: an additional dog on a walk is a small extra, because a second dog on a leash is genuinely a different job. And farms or unusually large households may need custom pricing.

Either way, you will know before you book. Surprises on an invoice are not something we do.

Dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, turtles, reptiles, farm animals and a good number of exotics.

The rule is not the species. If you call them family, we would be honoured to look after them.

Yes — oral medications, injections, eye drops, ear drops, topicals, inhalers and more.

At the Meet & Greet we will ask you to show us how you do it. Every pet has their own trick, and the point is not that we can technically give a pill — it is that your pet barely notices a change.

Caring for Your Home

Completely, and we have built it that way rather than just promised it.

Door codes, lockbox combinations, vet details and your personal information are stored encrypted, are seen only when someone genuinely needs them to care for your pet, and every single time one is opened it is logged. Alarm codes we do not put in the system at all — we take those at the Meet & Greet and keep them out of it entirely.

Letting someone into your home takes trust. We would rather earn it with how we handle your details than with a sentence about how much we value them.

Still have questions?

We are always happy to help — whether you are planning your first trip away, looking for ongoing care, or just trying to work out which service fits.

Every pet and every family is different, so we would rather take the time to get to know yours than hand you a package and hope.
