Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 18, 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Megan Reed Pet Services website and provide general terms applicable to services provided by Megan Reed Pet Services.
By using this website, you agree to these Terms as they relate to your use of the site. By confirming or booking services with Megan Reed Pet Services, you also agree to the terms applicable to those services, together with any care plan, booking confirmation, service agreement, cancellation policy, or other terms provided to you for your reservation.
Inquiries Are Not Bookings
Submitting an inquiry, requesting a quote, or checking availability does not create or reserve a booking.
Every service request is reviewed individually, and every new client begins with a complimentary Meet & Greet before services begin.
A reservation is confirmed only after Megan Reed Pet Services has approved the request, you have confirmed the reservation, and any required deposit has been paid.
Until those steps are complete, requested dates and times are not guaranteed or held.
Pricing & Estimates
Prices displayed on our website represent our current standard rates unless otherwise stated.
Any price generated through an online care-plan or pricing tool is an estimate only. It is not a final quote, invoice, or reservation.
Your final pricing will be confirmed based on your requested services, schedule, care needs, applicable add-ons, and any other circumstances relevant to your reservation before you commit to the booking.
Specialty services and unusual care arrangements may be individually quoted.
Payment
Card payments are securely processed through Square. Megan Reed Pet Services does not see or store your complete credit or debit card number.
When a deposit is required, the deposit is applied toward the total cost of your reservation.
For one-time reservations, the remaining balance is due on or before the first scheduled day of service unless otherwise agreed.
Ongoing clients may be billed on an established billing cycle for services provided during that period.
Cards Kept on File
If you choose to keep a payment method on file and authorize Megan Reed Pet Services to use it, your payment information is securely maintained by Square rather than Megan Reed Pet Services.
Subject to the authorization you provide, your saved payment method may be charged for:
* Deposits associated with reservations you have confirmed
* Remaining balances for confirmed reservations
* Recurring billing for services you have authorized
* Other charges you have expressly agreed to
We will not intentionally charge your saved payment method for services or purchases you have not authorized.
Charges will be itemized so that you can identify what you were charged for.
You may withdraw authorization for future card-on-file charges by contacting us, subject to payment obligations already incurred for services or reservations.
Where applicable, we maintain records of payment authorization and the terms accepted at the time authorization was provided.
Cancellations & Changes
Reservations are subject to our Booking & Cancellation Policy, including any applicable cancellation fees, deposit terms, rescheduling provisions, and holiday policies.
Please review that policy before confirming your reservation.
Access to Your Home
Clients are responsible for providing accurate instructions and reliable access to the home for all scheduled services.
This may include providing working keys, lockbox information, door or garage codes, alarm instructions, or other agreed-upon methods of entry.
If we arrive for a scheduled service but cannot access your home because the provided key, code, lock, alarm instructions, or other access method does not work or has been changed without notice, the scheduled service remains chargeable.
We will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your designated contact when an access problem occurs.
Your Pet’s Health & Behavior
Please provide complete and accurate information about your pet’s health, medications, routines, temperament, behavioral concerns, and care requirements.
This includes any known history of biting, aggression, guarding, escape behavior, reactivity, or other behavior that could reasonably affect the safety of your pet, our care providers, other animals, or other people.
We are not here to judge—we are here to keep everyone safe, and we cannot do that without accurate information.
If a pet displays behavior that creates a safety concern, Megan Reed Pet Services may reasonably modify the method of care or discontinue a particular service when necessary to protect the pet, care provider, other animals, or other people. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you when circumstances allow.
Veterinary & Emergency Care
Clients are responsible for providing current veterinarian information and an appropriate emergency contact.
If your pet becomes ill or injured while in our care, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and follow the veterinary and emergency instructions you have provided.
If we reasonably believe your pet requires urgent veterinary attention and you cannot be reached, we may seek veterinary care in accordance with the emergency authorization and instructions you have provided.
Veterinary treatment and related expenses remain the responsibility of the pet owner unless otherwise required by law or separately agreed in writing.
Other People Entering the Home
Please tell us if another person—including a family member, friend, neighbor, housekeeper, contractor, or another pet-care provider—is expected to enter your home while Megan Reed Pet Services is providing care.
We cannot control the actions of other individuals who have access to your home, pets, or property during a service period.
If another person’s presence or actions interfere with our ability to safely provide the agreed-upon care, we may contact you to determine how services should proceed.
Weather, Emergencies & Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Your pets’ safety and the safety of our care providers come first.
Severe weather, unsafe road conditions, power outages, natural disasters, government restrictions, emergencies, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally require us to adjust arrival times, shorten or modify a service, or make other reasonable changes to a care schedule.
When circumstances permit, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate with you and continue providing necessary care as safely as possible.
Photos & Videos
We may take photos or videos of your pets during services for the purpose of providing you with updates about their care.
We will ask for your permission before intentionally using identifiable photos or videos of your pets publicly for marketing or social-media purposes.
We will not intentionally publish information that identifies your home address, access information, travel schedule, or other sensitive household information.
Privacy
Our collection, use, storage, and protection of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time as our services, policies, technology, or legal obligations change.
The current version will be posted on this website with its effective or “Last updated” date.
When you enter into a separate written service agreement or accept terms for a particular reservation, the terms applicable to that agreement or reservation remain governed by the version you accepted unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
